#TheSilanceContinues
#Portland #PDX #StJohns
The silence is deafning. Always hearing about this country or that one, this group or that one but the silence continues for #homeless people.
(Amendment I) Sorry, you don't have the right to assemble in public space even in protest because your homeless.
(Amendment IV) Sorry, you don't have the right to be served a search warrant when we steal your only way to stay warm and dry.
(Amendment VIII) Sorry, your under arrest for trying to survive in public spaces in the middle of winter/heatwave after the city/state/federal has taken everything from you and there is absolutely no place to go to get out of the weather.
A short time ago, #Trump decided that 771,000 people have no US Constitution rights when he declared it #Illegal2BHomeless in #AmeriKKKa.

Not only do we now have to be on the lookout for city cops, shariffs, state cops, National Guards that also forgot the oath we say when joining the US Military, we have to be looking for every day haters who won't hesitate to kill us for simply not having paid for place to live.
But the Silence Continues.
BTW, the mayor of Portland Oregon has shown his true colors, he is a MAGA cult terrorist too.

I sware its getting harder not to punch people like that.

Since the national adoption of the "Housing First" strategy in 2008, long-term homelessness has fallen by over 80%.
While providing housing seems expensive up front, studies have shown it is cheaper in the long run. When a person is stably housed, society saves money on the costs associated with homelessness.

I've been out for 14 years (2011-10-01) and will probably die on the streets. Ether by a kop, a hater or something Trump sends since he made the entire country #Illegal2BHomess in July.

Oh no doubt. This world has eight approaching nine billion people, these homeless aren't Romani or Travellers, accustomed to living on the road, though the Nazis did a more thorough job of annihilating the Romani than even the Jews on a percentage basis.
The era of the nation-state is coming to a bad end. We need a different model of governance. We need to view the poor as a symptom of bad management.

Yep, just look at the 38,000 people who swore to defend the country and now living on the streets...
Just my opinion but the order of priority is:
Children
Women
Veterans
Men
But we are being made out as the bad people at the federal level now. 14 years ago yesterday and I am absolutely sure I'll die on the streets.
