Fox News has spent years priming its audience with fear and those dividends are paying off in the aggrieved entitlement of whites. This is making it very easy for Trump to declare crises and "solve" them in ways that benefit only the aggrieved.

It's also burning out the whole administrative state. We cheer (deservedly) when prosecutors working for ICE want to be jailed for contempt just so that they can get some sleep, but that's going to be happening elsewhere and as it does, it will be disastrous -- and very much a way to fold up various agencies and regulatory bodies.

I need to believe that the fate of those who don't resign will be disbarment. I think everyone hitching their career to the Trump train (USAs, ICE agents, caving leaders of targeted institutions) are effectively placing a bet that 2024 was the Last Election. Making that a losing bet is my mission in life. I need to find my people.
