i have a 84505R Liftmaster garage door opener and they've fscked with the MyQ API so much that i can't use #HomeKit via MyQ and need to go with a #RATGDO device or similar, but because my opener is a 84505R and therefore has a "yellow learn button" (lol?) i am told i need An Adapter but not what Adapter that might be.

Well, yes. But presumably that system was designed before Erdogan.

Question, since I assume from the frequency of these postings you follow Turkish politics more than I do: do you know if this autocracy came top-down -- i.e., Erdogan first, then at a more local level -- or bottom-up -- i.e., democracy was already nonexistent or quite weak at the local level and Erdogan reflects that?

When you privatize services like health care, the only thing you achieve is making the rich wealthier, paying workers less, and providing a worse service. The government may not be the most efficient or speediest, but removing executive salaries and profit from the equation goes a long way to providing fair pay and effective service.

Trump's latest proclamation that Biden's pardons are invalid because they were signed by autopen should scare us for many reasons. Aside from the constitutional bogusity and revenge-based politics, it's also reminiscent of the Calvinball-like legal "theories" advanced by those tiresome "sovereign citizen" wackos (e.g. "the court has no jurisdiction because the wrong flag is flying in the courtroom").

Have you noticed that at least with an iPhone 16 pro, if you are in a loud area such as a kitchen with the water on or the microwave on, your iPhone treble is increased and sometimes the volume goes way up? It makes me wonder if Apple doesn't believe people can compensate for changes in sound so it has to be done for them. I'd rather do it myself.

There is no โ€œbipartisanshipโ€ with authoritarianism. You either fight or you surrender. Schumer and his allies decided to surrender.

If they wouldnโ€™t fight now, they certainly wonโ€™t fight over the debt ceiling later.

The only power we โ€œhadโ€ was the Senate filibuster and we donโ€™t even have that.

So Trump will be allowed to break the economy and the country without any fightback, as Dems hope to ride to victory in โ€œfree and fairโ€ midterms in 2026 over the increasing price of eggs. Good luck.

This was originally posted as a warning to transphobic queers, to the "LGB without the T" folks, that while trans folks may be the most visible target of fascists today, they have all LGBTQIA folks in their crosshairs. I don't have a clue how a rat and clown like Chuck Schumer continues to be the minority leader after stabbing his own party in the back today.

The House and many in the Senate cannot trust his word. There was a plan, and he capsized the boat on purpose.
